Kstovo, My Town

Kstovo is a small town located near the banks of the Volga river. Despite its size, it is filled with lots of appealing sights. With a tiny population of 67,000 people, it stands out to be one of industrial cores of the Nizhny Novgorod region, one of the biggest factors of that is the Lukoil oil refinery.

And yet, the town is more than factories and smokestacks. For example, Kstovo has lots of places to hang out in. Surprisingly enough, it has 4 malls, allowing you to shop for clothing, eat out, meet with friends or even go on a date. There are also gyms that will let you stay fit, swimming pools, allowing you to feel like a fish, a water park that will help you feel like a mix of a ballistic rocket and a fish, and a cinema.

Nature here is even better. The forests of this region are very beautiful and atmospheric. You can come to the Volga river’s beach, sunbathe, swim, or just relax and absorb the beauty.

There are parks with benches that can help you sit and relax. You could also visit the countryside, as that part of the city has a completely different feel to it, with gardens and even some chicken farms.

One of my personal favorite places in this town is the Lukerian lake and the park around it. It is very close to the center of Kstovo, comfy and you can also feed ducks there.

The town also has the World Sambo Academy, that trained many world champions in our main cultural martial art.

Kstovo combines industrial glory, great infrastructure, deep history and great people. And as a blend of all that, it becomes the best town ever.
